Year End Recap
I am excited to announce that the inaugural club beach season was a big success.   We were able to get a great group of club teams out on the beach this summer.  I believe the Club Beach Tour is only going to continue to grow. We already have over 2000 club players on our facebook page. This year we were able to spread the word about our tour and most club directors said they were planning on starting up beach programs for the 2010 season.

Congratulations to Mizuno Long Beach for winning the Overall 2009 Girls Club Beach Tour Championships and to Santa Monica Beach Club for capturing the Overall 2009 Boys Club Beach Tour Championships.  More results and individual player points totals can be found here on our site.

The 2010 Club Beach Juniors tour is going to be huge! The 2010 Club Beach Tour will continue to be club centric. Players must register with a club and play under a club's banner.  We are asking that clubs provide matching uniforms this year.  There is some leeway with the uniform specifications as long as players are wearing matching unis that signify what club they play for.  Things to expect next season:

-$25 entry fee
-Earlier season start and earlier season finish (first event will be held during the long lapse between regional’s and Festival/Soiree/Junior Nationals.
-Running points total that will list the top players per age division and top overall clubs on the homepage.
-Easy online player registration option for clubs that do not want to have to do any paperwork.
-Exciting Locations and Tour Stops.
-High Performance Beach Program .

Look forward to seeing you out on the beach next summer.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. -Matt

Championships Moved to Manhattan Beach
Due to traffic and parking conflicts with the Long Beach Marathon the Club Beach Championships site will be moved.   We are happy to announce that we have secured Manhattan Beach as the  new site for the Club Beach Championships.  The event will be held at Marine Ave north of the Manhattan pier.

Event Recap, 9-20 & 9-27 Canceled, Championships Info

We had a great showing from our teams this week especially from our younger girls. Unfortunately our older girls and boys have a lot of commitments with the club and high school season upon us.  As a result we are going to cancel our next two Club Beach Events 9-20 and 9-27 due to Club and High School conflicts. Players who have already registered will be issued refunds.

We are expecting a great turnout for our season ending Club Beach Championships on Sunday Oct 11th. Register Now!

We are encouraging players to register as early as possible so that our tournament staff has plenty of time to arrange pools properly and seed players.  To promote early registration we have issued an early bird registration special and a late fee registrations for late registrations and for walk-up registrations.

CIF Rules for Southern Section and San Diego Section recognize 2 vs 2 beach volleyball as a separate sport from 6 vs 6 indoor volleyball.  As a result 2 vs 2 beach volleyball is not restricted during high school 6 vs 6 indoor season.  Read excerpt from CIF hand book below or download the complete CIF Blue Book.
